State of emergency extended after Columbia County landslide

A state of emergency has been extended in Columbia County following a landslide.

The issue behind the Sons & Daughters of Italy has been stabilized.

Contractors installed an emergency channel to prevent any water from backing up in the Claverack Creek. However, more work needs to be done to stabilize all the ground.

The area will continue to be monitored until the state of emergency expires December 3.
