Copake burglary suspect arrested

COPAKE – A homeowner caught a burglary suspect in the act in Copake.

The sheriff says 22-year-old Jason O'Connell Jr. broke into a vacant home at 33 Spring Street Tuesday afternoon.

He says the homeowner caught O'Connell stealing items from his house and confronted him, but O’Connell took off.

Deputies found O'Connell at a home on Robin Rd. and arrested him. All of the stolen items are believed to have been recovered.
