Cops: Man was driving 60+ MPH over speed limit

GLENVILLE - Police in Glenville arrested a man they say was driving more than 60 miles an hour over the speed limit.

Detectives say they tried to pull over 25-year-old Justin Loika around 1:30 a.m. Saturday for speeding. They say Loika took off up Maple Ave., going more than 100 miles an hour before crashing into a guard rail at the intersection of Maple and Alplaus Ave.

NewsChannel 13 is told there were two other people in the car. All three suffered minor injuries. Police also say Loika only has a learner's permit.

The Schenectady man is now facing charges of reckless driving and fleeing police.
