GREENPORT - Two people are recovering from a nasty crash in Greenport.

The sheriff’s department says 26-year-old Jeremy Decker of Hudson was on Newman Road near Hiscox Road Thursday evening, left the road and hit a rock pile and several trees.

Decker was extricated and was treated for an arm injury.

A passenger was treated for head, neck and back injuries.

The crash is under investigation but police are looking at speed and alcohol as factors. They say there may be charges.
