Woman dies in Hudson Falls fire

HUDSON FALLS - A woman died in an early Wednesday house fire.

Calls came in just before 5 a.m. for a fire at 11 North Street.  A woman trapped inside the home perished in the blaze. Her name has not been released.

A man trapped on the roof was rescued with a ladder.

Several firefighters sustained injuries while battling the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but authorities believe the fire started on the second floor of the home.
