Deer that attacked Troy man was rabid

The deer that attacked a man Tuesday in Troy has tested positive for rabies. That's according to the state Department of Environmental Conservation.

The 10-point deer pinned a man against a fence until a neighbor came to his rescue.

The dear ran off and eventually died.

The health department says the victim is undergoing rabies treatments. They want anyone else who may have come into contact with the animal to contact them at 518-270-2655.
