A Hudson Falls man who set a fire that killed his girlfriend was sentenced on Friday.
Derrick Guilder received 22 years to life behind bars.
He pleaded guilty in December to murder.
Prosecutors say Guilder planned the fire as a murder-suicide because Ashley Coltrain was breaking up with him. However, he panicked and escaped onto the roof as she remained inside the smoke-filled house.
