SCHENECTADY – Downtown Schenectady celebrated "Bloktoberfest" on Saturday.
Hundreds headed to Lafayette Street to enjoy an afternoon of live music, great food, and even greater fall weather. Slidin' Dirty helped host the event.
Organizers say it exemplifies the city's new energy.
"We've got the great theater and the casino. Those are two big pillars for the city," said Slidin' Dirty owner Tim Taney. "But now we're getting the local small businesses coming in here as well. It's the same thing Troy saw, and that's the exciting part for me."
Slidin’ Dirty is celebrating its five year anniversary in the Capital Region.
