LOUDONVILLE - It may not feel like it outside, but golf season is right around the corner.

The annual Empire Golf Expo was held this weekend at Siena College.

The three-day expo features clubs, courses, merchandise, equipment sales and free lessons from PGA pros.

Organizers say they weren't worried the cold would keep golfers away.

"I think the cold weather has people wanting to warm up and think about the golf season. We joked and said we sprung ahead last night, so we're one hour closer to being able to play," noted Danielle Unser Slater with the Empire Golf Expo.

The National Golf Foundation says there are more than 100,000 golfers here in the Capital Region.
