Abandoned Albany home catches fire

ALBANY - Firefighters knocked down a house fire in Albany on Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out around 9:45 a.m. at a house at 579 3rd Street. It's near Manning Boulevard.

Albany Fire Chief Warren Abriel tells NewsChannel 13 when he got there, he saw heavy smoke coming from the second floor.

No injuries are reported.

Chief Abriel says the house is abandoned

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
