Albany firefighter accidentally shoots himself in hand

ALBANY - An Albany firefighter accidentally shot himself in the hand at the Arbor Hill fire station Friday afternoon.

The fire chief says the man was taken to the hospital for treatment. He couldn't say whose gun it was.

Police are investigating but say the man should not have a gun in the fire station while he's on duty.

Once police finish their investigation, the fire chief says he will decide what, if any, disciplinary action should be taken.
