Watervliet man sentenced for stealing from seniors

A Watervliet man will spend six to 12 years behind bars for stealing from seniors.

Frank Chrysler pleaded guilty to grand larceny as a hate crime.

He admitted to taking a person he knows, who has a decreased mental state, to the bank and making her withdraw money for him from her account.

Chrysler also charged elderly victims for work at their homes that he never did.

As part of his sentence, he will pay $25,000 in restitution.
