A man convicted of stealing more than $5 million from fellow ski patrol members in Greene County nearly 14 years ago is facing new charges.

Franklin Marone, 55, is accused of lying to Greene County Court, saying he was out of money and could no longer pay back more than $1 million still owed in the previous case.

However, State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says Marone has been stealing from his 88-year-old mother, his ex-girlfriend and a family friend to upgrade his Jeep, take Caribbean cruises and pay for expensive gym memberships.

The new charges include perjury and grand larceny.
