Funeral held for trooper who died from 9/11 related illness

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - Funeral services for State Trooper Brian Falb were held Monday in Plattsburgh

He passed away last week from brain cancer at the age of 47.

His illness was connected to the attacks on the World Trade Center on 9/11.

Trooper Falb was one of the first responders to Ground Zero and inhaled a heavy dose of what was later determined to be toxic fumes. He also served on details after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and Hurricane Sandy in New York City.
