SARATOGA SPRINGS - Gabby Gaudet, 25, could be attracting a new generation to racing.

In a profession and sport that's traditionally been male, she's one of the few female handicappers and the newest and youngest racing analyst for NYRA TV.

Gaudet started as an analyst in Maryland while a senior in college. She also grew up around horses and loves the sport.

Her analyzing style is a little bit of trip handicapping, pace scenarios and physical handicapping.

Though the crowds keep coming, the sport has long passed its heyday and is viewed by some as elitist.

However, Gaudet believes there's a new younger audience waiting to be introduced to the sport.

Hiring younger employees and utilizing the power of social media are ways she says to get them through the turnstiles.
