Queensbury man pleads guilty to role in child sex sting

A Queensbury man has pleaded guilty after being caught in a child sex sting.

NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Post-Star report Gerald Harrington III pleaded guilty to attempted rape charges. He was arrested last June.

Police say he was one of 12 men who answered an ad to have sex with a 14-year-old girl at a Queensbury motel. That ad was created by police.

Harrington faces up to four years in prison.

One other suspect has pleaded guilty. Charges are still pending against the others.
