Police are still investigating what caused the girl to fall.

There's no further word on her condition.

Troy City Council president Carmella Mantello released the following statement:

"I've sent a memo to the Deputy Mayor recommending that the appropriate city personnel immediately go to the Leonard hospital and review the condition of the building, and determine what steps should be taken short term and long term to try to preclude any such accidents from occurring in the future. My thoughts are with the young woman who was injured."
