Cuomo tells all non-essential state employees to stay home Tuesday

All non-essential state employees are being told to stay home on Tuesday.

Governor Andrew Cuomo says the State Emergency Operations Center will be activated Monday night.

Two-thousand National Guard troops have been called up.

The state has already started stockpiling generators, sandbags and pumps.

Right now, the Department of Transportation has more than 2,200 plows and other snow removal vehicles at the ready and more 3,800 operators and supervisors.

They'll be out in force, spreading more than 443,000 tons of road salt.
