NewsChannel 13 caught up with Horatio Sanz and John Michael Higgins to talk about the second season.

While it's based in a newsroom, they say don't worry about getting caught up in violence or politics. This show is about the relationships.

Higgins says he loved the show from the first time he read the script.

"You know, honestly, I actually thought it doesn't sound genuine because it sounds like such a plug, but I thought it was too funny to last. I was really amused by it, which is not that usual I have to say for me. I do comedy my whole life, so you really have to do something to get my attention and boy this show got it. I thought it was hilarious," noted Higgins.

"The show is definitely the strange cousin of '30 Rock,' in a lot of ways," added Sanz.

Tina Fey is their boss on the show and real life.
