Green Island town hall to focus on heroin

GREEN ISLAND – A town hall will focus on heroin on Wednesday.

Mayor Ellen McNulty-Ryan and Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple will co-host the public gathering at Heatly School from 6-8 p.m.

Topics will include where heroin overdoses are occurring, how addiction starts, and how to get help. There will also be a question and answer session.

Apple has said he will go to any community desiring to hold a town hall on heroin and opioid abuse.
