COLONIE - The U.S. Post Office’s regional processing center in Colonie was evacuated late Saturday after three employees came down with a rash associated with an unknown substance in or on a package.
HAZMAT responders were brought in to assess the situation, and have ruled the substance non-hazardous. Additional testing is now being done to figure out exactly what it is.
The three employees have been treated and released. Colonie Police say the Karner Rd. postal facility is now reopened.
