GLENS FALLS - Two women were rescued after a head-on crash in Glens Falls Wednesday morning.

Police say 29-year-old Kayla Connor was driving on Lower Warren Street when she lost control, crossing the center line, slamming into a car headed westbound, then rolled over.

She was able to get out just before it burst into flames. However, firefighters needed the jaws-of-life to rescue the driver of the other car, driven by 26-year-old Tiffany Charland.

"One car was thrown to the side of the road, did catch fire after the occupant of that car did get out. The operator of the white vehicle was slightly trapped by her foot. No life-threatening injuries that we know of at this time," said Cory Hurlburt with the South Queensbury Fire Department.

Charland was airlifted to Albany Medical Center. The road was closed for a little over an hour.
