Herkimer man arrested after driving truck into Schoharie house

New York State Police out of Cobleskill have arrested a Herkimer man after they say he drove his Ford truck against a home in Schoharie.

Timothy Sims, 54, is charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree after he left the roadway off Barton Hill Road, striking a tree, two tractors, and eventually a house around 11:30 Saturday night.

Sims was uninjured and arrested on scene.

The five occupants of the house were also uninjured and removed from the residence due to damage. They are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
