Sheriff: Drug bust leads to $2,000 in heroin

Around $2,000 worth of heroin is seized in a Columbia County Drug Bust.

Investigators say the drugs were found during a traffic stop on Fairview Avenue in Greenport last Wednesday.

Peter Medina, 25, of Brooklyn, faces felony charges and was sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail.

Katie Murray, 31, of Durham was charged with possession of a hypodermic instrument. The driver, David Meadows, 30, of Greenport is charged with cocaine possession and traffic infractions. They were both given appearance tickets.
