Troy man charged in Albany robbery

Albany police have arrested a suspect in a January 26 robbery.

They say 21-year-old Jamir Broaster threatened a woman with a rock, then stole her purse while knocking her to the ground.

Police say it happened at Grand and Hamilton streets.

The woman was treated for cuts, pain and swelling. Her purse was found a short time later with cash missing.

Broaster was sent to the Albany County Jail.
