She started out as a babysitter.

"I was a little girl you could always find with a baby on my hip," she acknowledged.

Fast forward to when she became a mom of her own and began experiencing the juggling acts parents face.

"I'm not seeing my kids. I'm not putting them on the bus. I'm just not having that parent involvement that I really want to have with my children," recalled Brown.

So she went back to her first love -- babysitting.

"I said, 'Let's find something that's more suitable for our lifestyles,' and having a daycare in the home where I started is what opened the door for me now being home with my kids and making money," explained Brown.

She traded the home daycare for not one, but two daycare centers.

"Once I opened the doors, the kids were flowing in," she pointed out.

However, Brown also wanted to prepare kids academically, so she turned to music – offering piano lessons twice a week.

Brown can't believe how far she's come.

"I saw myself evolve as just a young mother to a businesswoman now," she noted.
