Jury selection underway for trial of man charged in two murders

Jury selection was underway Wednesday in the case of an Albany man accused of killing two women.

Former water department worker Edward Mero allegedly killed Megan Cunningham and Shelby Countermine.

Court documents show he told police he blames himself.

The documents say he also told a jail inmate about the two murders, saying quote, "I did the second one, but not the first."

Opening statements are expected Monday.
