Vanderheyden Hall aide accused of sexually abusing resident

An aide at Vanderheyden Hall in Rensselaer County is under arrest, accused of sexually abusing a resident in his care.

The New York State Justice Center says Justin Hope brought the victim to his apartment in Guilderland and to a sporting event.

While out, investigators say hope gave the victim alcohol and pot then engaged in oral sex.

The victim has intellectual disabilities.

Hope faces a number of charges including criminal sexual abuse.
