Jury selection continues in trial of former code enforcer

SCHENECTADY - Jury selection continues Wednesday in the trial of Kenneth Tyree.

He's charged with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in connection with a deadly fire back in 2015. At the time, Tyree was the code enforcement officer for the city of Schenectady.

He says he inspected the alarm system in the apartment building the day before the fire and found it operational. Investigators say the alarm system had not been working for at least two months before to the fire.
