Kingsbury sex offender facing new charges

KINGSBURY – A registered sex offender from Kingsbury is facing a slew of new charges.

Robert Middleton, 63, was already facing charges relating to improper contact with three teenage boys. Authorities say he paid them and gave them gifts to have sexual encounters with each other.

Now, NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Post Star report that prosecutors say he has since tried to pay some of his victims to change their testimony. He's been hit with a new 18 count indictment that includes witness tampering and criminal solicitation.

Middleton has pleaded not guilty.
