Manhunt ends in Montgomery County

FONDA -- A manhunt in Montgomery County is over.

Boyd Wells is now back in police custody. Police say the St. Johnsville man turned himself in at 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

The manhunt for the 18-year-old started earlier Thursday after police say he slipped away from deputies following a court appearance and took off into the woods in Fonda.

His mother spoke with NewsChannel 13 Thursday night, pleading for her son to turn himself in.
