Missing Whiteface Mountain skier found alive in California

There's a bizarre end to the search for a missing skier on Whiteface Mountain. Constantinos Filippidis of Canada has been found in Sacramento, Calif.

State police say he is in good health and has made contact with police there.

He turned himself into Sacramento authorities wearing his ski jacket, pants and carrying his helmet.

Filippidis vanished last Wednesday while on a skiing trip, triggering a massive search for days at Whiteface.

Police say they are still investigating the circumstances of this case, including how he ended up across the country. They add there's very little chance he flew there, since his passport was left behind. They say more details will be released in the future.
