Montgomery County man arrested for child sex crimes

A volunteer coach at St. Mary's Institute in Amsterdam has been arrested for child sex crimes.

John Salisbury is from Hagaman. He was the subject of a joint investigation by the State Police in Fonda and the State Police Computer Crimes Unit in Latham.

He is accused of having child porn on his computer and uploading an image of a child engaged in a sexual performance. Police also say he set up surveillance in a bathroom to capture videos of kids. Police won't say where that bathroom is. However, St. Mary's Institute said in a statement that there are no indications right now it was on school property.

Salisbury in the Montgomery County Jail. He has been suspended from his coaching duties.
