ALBANY -- Moriah Formica, the Shaker High student making a splash on the hit NBC show "The Voice," is giving Capital Region fans a chance to hear her sing.

The 16-year-old announced on Facebook that she will play a special unplugged performance at Jupiter Hall inside Crossgates Mall on Nov. 24 at 8 p.m.

"I will be home for Thanksgiving and thought it would be a great opportunity to get together and play for the community that has supported me so much," she said. "I've never done a complete full band unplugged set where I can interact with the crowd and explain my songs and what they mean to me. This is a great opportunity to get to know a little about me and my music. What better place than Crossgates Mall on Black Friday?!"

Tickets for the show will go on sale shortly. A meet-and-greet is planned for after the show.

In her most recent appearance on "The Voice," Formica topped fellow Team Miley member Shilo Gold in a battle round matchup. "The Voice" airs Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. on NewsChannel 13.
