Crime survivors share their stories at Albany remembrance ceremony

ALBANY - This week is "National Crime Victims' Rights Week."

Crime victims and local law enforcement gathered Thursday for a remembrance ceremony at the Albany County Courthouse.

The theme of this year's week is "Expand the Circle, Reach All Victims."

Survivors stepped forward to share their stories of dealing with crimes like rape and assault.

The week is meant as a time to honor crime victims and those who tirelessly advocate on their behalf.
