Neighbors help neighbors in Irma's wake

(WFLA/NBC News) Floridians who live near the Alifia River are dealing with rising water, an aftereffect of Hurricane Irma.

Victor Huber is doing his best to manage his cattle and horse after floodwaters engulfed his home.

With the help of friends, Huber moved them to higher ground. Then he helped others on his street.

"We got lucky, he says. "I was helping some of the neighbors earlier move their prize possessions, their family heirlooms and pictures and stuff like that out of the their house, get it out of the water so at least they've got memories. You know, that's all we've got."
