New York State Canal Corp. preps for possible flooding

The New York State Canal Corporation is taking preemptive measures to prevent possible flooding on Sunday.

It says it will fully open movable dams on the Erie Canal between Lock E8 in Scotia and Lock E18 in Herkimer.

Gov. Cuomo is also urging to New Yorkers to prepare for the heavy rain and potential flooding. He says people should plan their travel accordingly to avoid flooded roads and downed wires.
