"Pinkster" Celebration

Cordell Reaves, Historic Preservation Programs Analyst with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation, joins Dan to discuss the deep local roots of the "Pinkster" celebration, beginning with Dutch settlers and evolving into an annual festival of black culture. The lost Pinkster tradition will be revived next weekend at the Fort Crailo Historic Site in Rensselaer.
