PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Hundreds of people in Pittsfield are standing in solidarity with immigrants.

They stood out in Park Square Saturday afternoon in response to President Donald Trump's executive orders on national immigration policy.

Organizers say they want all immigrants across the country to know they are not alone, and people stand with them.

“This is a country that was founded on freedom of religion,” said Sherwood Guernsey of the Four Freedoms Coalition. “That's one of the four religions. And freedom from fear. And right now, so many immigrants in this country, if not all, are fearful for their lives, and for their families. We reject that, and we support them.”

The event was organized by the Four Freedoms Coalition, which is made from three local organizations.
