Great Barrington police dog to get new protective vest

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. - A Great Barrington police K-9 is getting some lifesaving body armor.

“Titan” will receive a bulletproof and stab-proof vest.

The vest is being paid for thanks to a charitable donation from Vested Interest in K9s. The non-profit organization helps pay for these vests for law enforcement dogs. Since 2009, they’ve provided over 2,800 of them throughout all 50 states.

Titan is expected to receive his new vest in eight to 10 weeks.
