Authorities: Speed may have played role in Claverack crash

CLAVERACK -- The Columbia County Sheriff says speed may have contributed to an accident in the town of Claverack.

Sheriff David Bartlett says around 4:20 a.m. Saturday, 29-year-old Martin Rollins of Copake lost control of his car on County Route 11. Rollins hit a boulder and several trees before coming to a stop.

He was taken to Albany Med, where he's listed in stable condition.
