Protest planned in Troy

TROY -- A protest march is scheduled for Saturday in Troy.

Demonstrators will call for justice in two police shootings in the city. Edson Thevenin was shot to death during a confrontation with police in 2016. A grand jury chose not to indict the officer who fired the shots.

Dahmeek McDonald was shot and wounded by a police officer in August. That shooting is still under investigation.

The march is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
