ALBANY - Dozens of protestors gathered outside of the Governor's Mansion Monday afternoon.
Members of A Village Inc., Citizens Action, New York Renews as well as community members from the South End and Sheridan Hollow participated.
One resident says she wants the governor to fully fund schools in Albany's South End, and also stop diesel tanker trucks from driving through their neighborhoods.
"More than 1,000 trucks come through Ezra Prentice neighborhood on South Pearl Street every day. People in that community have asthma, bronchitis, they're suffering several health issues every day," pointed out Shondria Smith, a Citizen Action Community Organizer.
The governor was in Nassau County for a swearing-in ceremony while the protest was taking place.
