Psychiatric patient prompts police activity in Albany

NewsChannel 13 has gotten many questions into our newsroom asking about heavy police activity near Albany Medical Center on Sunday afternoon.

Police say a patient left the Captial District Psychiatric Center and locked himself in a room inside the Hilton across the street from the hospital.

He was unarmed and eventually taken into custody. He is being returned to the CDPC.
