Woman accused of killing dog with fireplace poker

BLEECKER - A Fulton County woman is accused of killing a dog using a fireplace poker.

Police tell NewsChannel 13 Rebecca Wesson was trying to get into a locked room during a dispute between her and another family member in the town of Bleecker.

Investigators say she hit the dog multiple times, killing it, then got into a struggle with a man and stabbed him.

Wesson is now charged with assault and animal cruelty.
