Some neighbors in Rensselaer are upset over what they are calling "toxic dumping" near their homes.
A group called Rensselaer Community Action held a meeting Wednesday night at Rensselaer Public Library. They’re worried about construction and demolition debris being dumped at Dunn Landfill.
Many say they have concerns about what it’s doing to their health and quality of life.
“Many people in this city are fed up with the dump, and this influx of endless trucks riding through out streets everyday polluting and making an incredible amount of noise,” said Joanne Farrell of Rensselaer Community Action.
The group says it is planning to conduct soil and water testing in the area surrounding the landfill and Quackenderry Creek.
