Man charged in Schenectady bank robbery

A man robbed a Schenectady bank on Monday, but police say he didn’t get too far.

Robert Costello, 36, is accused of robbing Citizens Bank at 501 State Street.

The robbery happened around 9:45 a.m. When police found Costello a short time later, they say he had around $6,600 cash, the same amount stolen from the bank.

He’s now charged with robbery and grand larceny.
