Schoharie County man sentenced for illegally trying to sell gun

A Schoharie County man is sentenced for trying to sell a gun he wasn't legally allowed to have.

Aaron Bowman of Middleburgh got 27 months in prison Friday. He had pled guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm.

Bowman posted a revolver and ammunition for sale on Facebook a little over a year ago. However, Bowman is a felon, prohibited from owning guns.

This was his sixth conviction. He will have three years of supervision after he goes free.
