April 19, 2017 07:03 PM

Allegations of testing irregularities are under investigation in Troy. Superintendent John Carmello sent the following statement to NewsChannel 13:

"After learning of an alleged testing impropriety involving four students at School 14, the District conducted a thorough investigation and reported the incident to NYSED, as required. We are very proud of the progress we are making in the Troy School District, and this isolated incident involving a substitute teacher should not distract from how hard everyone is working in all of our buildings."

NewsChannel 13 also reached out to the state Education Department. A spokesperson would only say it's policy is not to comment on allegations unless they are verified through investigation.
