Great Escape 'heroes' being honored

ALBANY - Senator Jim Tedisco was honoring four good Samaritans Wednesday afternoon, who helped to avert tragedy at the Great Escape theme park.

The video got national attention.

Matthew Howard of Schenectady and daughter Leeann Winchell helped catch a 14-year-old girl as she dropped from the park's Sky Ride on Saturday.

Also being honored are Loren Lent of Glenville, who took this video and Rey Rivera of Colonie.

Senator Tedesco was giving them all state Senate citations at the Capitol around 1 p.m.
